There are three periods that clearly outline this story: - The first activity since the beginning, or 1948; - Second, since independence, or 1990, and, - Third, since 1999 until today. All three periods are not only historical peculiarities. They record growth rates and domestic and international affirmation. But those people who were once players, along with others, who were their side, in the second period were the side of those who belonged to the generation of handball action during the years of slavery and freedom ... There are many actors who paraded through the years. There are many teams that did. There are many players, coaches, team managers handball that gave meaning to Kosovo. After two months, the propositions were developed racing, the size of the field, game rules, which are similar to today. This story relates exactly Normalisti handball club, whose coach was Xhavit Sefa, six times champion of Kosovo ... In 1955, small handball was institutionalized. Handball Council was reorganized in each center was founded handball assets. Handball played in schools, in factories, in the countryside and in the city. MORE NAMES, ONE STORY   There are many names that made the history of handball in Kosovo. Almost everyone came out of the first team founded in 1953, in Pristina by Xhavit Sefa, then the object of teaching physical education in the Normal Pristina. This is evidenced by the teams in the 70's managed to make the first league competitions and second central ex-Yugoslavia, then the strongest in the world. Best estimate for the full success of this tournament did Deputy International Handball Federation, z.Alberto de San Roman: "... what makes sports Kosovo workers really deserves high praise. Hospitality, correct bias, seven disciplines in Kosovo and gyms all "trivialities" that followed the championship games, are evidence that properly organized an event like this. For this I have said before and will say where is the place - the IHF headquarters. "   5. DIFFICULTIES   Discrimination against ethnic Albanians in the former Yugoslavia, which had begun to speak openly since 1981, becoming even more serious. Demonstrations by students of the University of Pristina, then the entire population of Kosovo Kosovo affected the sport, which experienced the most difficult moments. Wherever you play teams from Kosovo, was made injustice, and the violence exercised against them.
